This is a simple conductivity transmitter for water and wastewater technology applications. It works with any standard 2 wire analog conductivity sensor and provides a 4-20mA analog signal in conjunction with the conductivity measuring cell.
Features

• Cable capacity compensation
• 4 to 20 mA analog signal output
• TS-35 DIN rail mounting
• +/-0.1% accuracy
• Ip20 case
• Screw terminals
• Electrically isolated input, output and supply
• Cyclical self-calibration
• Power LED

How a 4-20mA Transmitter works?

The conductivity sensor consist of two electrodes and the transmitter measures the conductivity between them and transmits the measured value to the processing unit using a 4-20mA 2 wire current loop communication. For example if we place the sensor into a salt-water the conductivity is high because the salt water is a good conductor and current can flow between the electrodes. If we place the sensor in purified water, which doesn’t conduct current, the conductivity is low.
The precision of the measuring is highly depends on the quality of the sensor. You can use any conductivity sensor with our transmitter, but we always recommend our sensors.

Where is used the Conductivity 4-20mA Transmitter?

This type of transmitter is frequently used at water treatment facility, where a central processing unit collects the measured values and controls the system and actual measured value displaying on the transmitter is not required.
